About late diagnosis of HIV

Late diagnosis is the leading cause of premature death and disease among people living with HIV. With over two in five people newly diagnosed with HIV in the UK still being diagnosed late, it has often seemed an intractable problem. Yet now, more than ever before, the tools we need to tackle late diagnosis are within our reach. In parallel with the global ambition to eliminate new HIV infections by 2030, the Halve It coalition now calls for the elimination of late HIV diagnosis.
